On Saturday night, October 18, 1947 (I think), I received Jesus Christ. My sins were forgiven. I was indwelt with the Holy Spirit. I had joy I had never known before. It was in Baltimore, Maryland at a Presbyterian Church at the corner of North Ave. and St. Paul. The speaker spoke on the early verses of Psalm 40. “He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.” My name was written in Heaven. That was fifty-nine years ago, the joy is still there.
Here is some of the singing in Heaven with the reason in the lyrics. Revelations 5:9, 10 “And they sang a new song: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
