Father and Son

Please pay attention.

The Father:

“One Lord, one faith, one baptism. one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:5, 6

One God the Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. I am not sure what “all” means but it seems to be encompassing. How about the prepositions “of,” “over,” “through,” and “in?” They also seem to make a complete statement.

The Son:

“He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.” Ephesians 4:10

How high are the highest heavens? He ascended higher than they are high. The text tells us why. “In order to” fill the whole universe.

If you want to put God in a box, please get a big box.
