Prayer Meeting

Beginning on Saturday, January 17, at 2:00 PM there will be a prayer meeting in my home. The primary reason for the prayer meeting is to intercede for the saints in Pullman-Moscow area, to get them back to their first love. The second reason is to ask the Lord of the harvest to send reapers into the harvest for the harvest is plenteous and the laborers are few.

I and a few others are seeing the moving of the Spirit in regular conversations of men with no previous knowledge of the Gospel. If you are in range of my home, 114 South Howard St. Moscow, ID we encourage you to come. We do not want to run ahead of God nor do we want to run to catch up. We want the Holy Spirit to come down on every resident in the community. That is what happened in Jerusalem in Acts 1 and 2, in modern times in Wales 1904-1905, Korea 1907-1910, and New York City on Fulton Street in 1857. We will spend an hour together in prayer.

Also on January 17 at 3:15 PM I will start an eight week teaching on personal evangelism. We know from the scriptures that more people want into the kingdom than there are Christians who want them in. We would like to correct this discrepancy. The teaching will be on plowing the ground, making good ground, planting the seed, reaping the harvest, and how to recognize the difference between hard ground, soft ground and a ripe harvest.

We are all witnesses of Jesus Christ. We are either good witnesses of Jesus Christ or not good witnesses. We all have normal contact with unbelievers. Let’s learn how to be obedient to the Great Commission.

I will pray God shower his blessings on you Pastor. I would love to help. I have to minister to my kids here...obligation to be here.pray for my children's conversion and I would stay in God's word daily....

Why Is Obedience So Hard?

There are several reasons why obedience seems hard. I will comment on some of them and then speak positively on how obedience is easy. We think: 1) Obedience is an infringement on freedom. Since we are free in Christ, and obedience is somehow contrary to that freedom, we conclude that obedience is not good. Yet we know it is good. Thus, we become confused about obedience and are not single-minded. 2) Obedience is works. We who have been justified by grace through faith are opposed to works; therefore, we are opposed to obedience. 3) We have tried to obey and have failed—frequently. Therefore, the only solution is to disobey and later confess to receive forgiveness. It is easier to be forgiven by grace than to obey by effort. 4) We confuse obedience to men with obedience to God. Biblical Love (Part 1)

God tells husbands to love their wives. How are we to do that, and what does that love look like? Love Her as Your Neighbor “Jesus replied: ‘“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself”’” (Matt. 22:37-39). “Yourself” is someone you already greatly love, and therefore is a good standard for how to love someone else. For a start, calculate how much time you spend thinking about yourself on an average day. Second, list all the things you do for yourself, including bathing, eating, sleeping, and studying.
