There is a truth that the New Testament mentions far more than more commonly known truths like baptism. It is the second coming of Jesus. Here is one of many references: “We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him” (1 Thess. 4:14).
This event is called the “blessed hope” and is a means of comforting each other. It is a wonderful event that is sure to happen. It is no doubt about it. We are to wait for it patiently and gladly.
The next-to-last verse in the Bible says, “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus” (Rev. 22:20).
